The power of Thanks

Romans 1:19-21 (New International Version)
19
since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. 21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (New International Version)

18give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

One of the things that I love about the Bible is that no matter how many times you have read it... there is always something you haven't seen before, new revelation to be had.

Isn't it interesting in Romans 1: 21 how it says that without an acknowledgment of God and a giving of thanks... our thinking becomes futile and our hearts become darkened!

No wonder God's will for our lives is to give thanks no matter the circumstance!
Whenever we acknowledge God and give thanks to Him we dethrone ourselves and we enthrone God!
