Here is a great story that I'm sure will speak for itself. Its applications are numerous.
Is Your Hut Burning?
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and everyday he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store a few possessions.
But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. “God, how could You do this to me!” he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him.
“How did you know I was here?” asked the weary man of the rescuers.
“We saw your smoke signal,” they replied

Like many things that have happened in my life, I believe in this case.. " Everything happens for a reason" comes to mind.
Sometimes we feel like everything is falling apart before our eyes yet when we feel we have lost everything and things can get no worse, the true blessings and freedom come. And we start the next phase of our journey better off with lessons learned. Often we don't see this until hindsight gives us one of those 'ah!' moments when everything becomes clear. And as we gaze back as the steadily shrinking island, we see how much more we have now we have been moved into a new situation.
we usually seem to lose heaps before we gain alot!!
and we apreciated it more also!!
everything happens for a reason, and good things will always happen from wot we think are bad, but they are not always bad :)
